Consuming Spicy Foods

Consuming spicy foods allows for a burning sensation in the stomach making it highly prone to heart palpitations. This condition, combined with shortness of breath, should be seen by a doctor.

Fear and Anxiety

All these life situations normally make many people develop fear and anxiety. The body may react to these situations with a number of symptoms and signs, the common ones being palpitations of the heart and shortness of breath. Other symptoms that may occur include tightness of the chest, nausea, tension of the muscles, stomach pain, dizziness, and lightheadedness.

Panic Attacks

A heart attack results from a reduction in the supply of blood to the heart due to blockages of the artery by deposits of fat and cholesterol. Symptoms include pressure or chest pain that may radiate to the neck, jaw, or back, cold sweating, sudden dizziness, tiredness, nausea, indigestion, or a burning sensation in the stomach.

Other Causes of Heart Palpitations

Other causative elements of palpitations are the consumption of too much caffeine or alcohol, the presence of an underlying medical condition like thyroid disorders, anemia, hypotension, hypoglycemia, fever, dehydration, menstrual or menopausal fluctuations in hormone levels, and medication intake due to decongestants, weight loss products, and asthma inhalers.

  • Causes can range from asthma, COVID-19
  • pneumonia, severe allergies
  • leakage of fluids around the heart or lungs
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • abnormal heartbeats
  • pulmonary embolism
  • anemia.
